Credit Transfer and Transcripts
Each course is 40 direct contact hours equal to four (4) transfer credit hours in the North American system or seven (7) transfer credit hours in the ECTS European system. Official transcripts are administered directly from the University of Economics (VŠE) signed by the Dean of the College of International Relations.
For courses in Seville, students will receive three (3) transfer credit hours per course. Official transcripts are administered by UPO (University Pablo de Olevide).
Accreditation and Faculty
The University of Economics (VŠE) is accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education and Pablo de Olavide is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Both operate in accordance with the principles of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. Faculty members are terminal and non-terminal degree holding professors who come from years of experience and hold at least a Master’s Degree. - Students can choose max. 2 courses (in addition to Czech language and protocol class). Either the business track or the art/history track or a combination of the courses (1 course from each track).
- Academic rigor of courses approved by VŠE is at the upper undergraduate ranking. Graduate credit also available.

- Periodic exams, homework assignments, presentations and final projects will be administered
- Attendance in all classes is mandatory and monitored by each professor
- International professors have teaching styles which differ somewhat from those found in the US or Canada. Students should be prepared to adapt to professors who are non-native English speakers and to the different classroom structures and coursework expectations
- Class size ranges between 5 and 20 students for language courses and between 5 and 30 students in classes-for-credit
- Students will be in class with international students from the US, Canada, Mexico, Eastern Europe and other parts of the world
- While taking courses at VŠE students will be housed in university dorms and during coursework at UPO (Seville) students will be living with host families. Please see accommodations for details.
