CENTRAL EUROPE: Coach Abroad
(International Coaching Program or ICP)
(International Coaching Program or ICP)
The ICP is intended on challenging participants to lead and learn at the same time. It will be your responsibility to organize game strategy and practice schedules as well as facilitate the camps/clinics on the OutofBounds Tour. You will meet regularly with a GP ICP Director to help build your coaching confidence and assist in competition and training preparation. The GP staff will be there as mentors and when your ICP is finished, will provide each participant with a Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation upon request.
There are over a hundred study abroad programs across the country, but we have introduced a unique combination of "work" and "play" to your travel experience. The ICP takes you to Germany , Austria and the Czech Republic where you will coach and compete with and against international players from all over the globe.
DATES: June 14– July 5 (itinerary)
COST: $2865
Eligibility: ICP is open to rising and graduating seniors as well as recent graduates interested in pursuing coaching both nationally and internationally.
Destinations: Berlin, Prague, Munich, Graz, Vienna
Whats Included:
- Airport pick-up in Berlin
- ICP Coaching Course and Materials: "Making the Transition from College Player to International Coach"
- Accommodation: A combination of hostels, self-catering apartments, and homestays
- Ground transportation: travel between cities will be provided by GP, transportation on participants "Free Days" is NOT included
- Tournament fees and registration
- Guided tours of the cities: Day Tour in Prague, Graz and Vienna, Bike Tours in Berlin and Munich
- GP Gear: Practice gear for coaching events and team travel
- Medieval Feast: 7 course traditional Czech meal and entertainment including flame throwers,
bellydancers and more
- Networking opportunities and cultural events: Throughout your stay you will meet many local and international contacts. Make a good impression and secure future opportunities!

As a member of the Global Players team, you will be able to not only take in the sights and sounds of Europe, but immerse yourself in the culture. Whether you choose to sky dive over the Alps, museum hop or chill out and enjoy fine food and drink, the opportunity to experience Europe is at your fingertips. On the OutofBounds tour you will get to city hop visiting several European hot spots. After completion of the ICP you are welcome to extend your abroad experience and visit some other favorite locations in Europe
Lacrosse is an ever expanding game and our service will be a valuable addition to the European momentum. The ICP initiative is to help build connections among our GP coaches and the International Lacrosse Community to open doors to potential coaching opportunities.
